Andrew started his wine journey while working as a manager at the Keg Steakhouse and Bar. After taking a course with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) in 2017 he was hooked and immediately delved into the Vancouver wine community. After gaining his certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) in 2019, Andrew began working as a Server/Sommelier at Lee Cooper's L'abattoir in Gastown where he now is in charge of directing the wine list. Andrew was also the Canadian competitor in the 2019 Wines of South Africa Sommelier's Cup, the 2020 Wine Growers BC Sommelier Smackdown Top Somm and is now studying for his Advanced level in CMS.
Outside of wine Andrew is a massive Blue Jays fan, enjoys watersports and is an avid (although not talented) golfer.
